Q&A
  • What time is the reception open?
    Our reception is open daily from 8:00 to 20:00 (8am to 8pm).
  • Do you offer luggage storage?
    Yes, we do. Before check-in and after check-out you can leave your luggage at our reception.
  • Do you have a parking place?
    No, we don't. But there are few options nearby: We recommend to book a parking garage in advance (it's often fully booked), there are 3 garages near our building cca 250m (mr.parkit.com, centralparkingprague.com), you can also book a spot at the street (parkingcard.cz). For all of these fill in option: Prague 1. Price cca 25-35€/day.
  • Can I bring my pet (dog/cat...)?
    All animals in our accommodation are forbidden (even in private rooms). It's mainly for safety reasons (allergies etc.). This is valid for all animals. If we find out there is an animal we will give you fine 50€ and exclude you form accommodation.
  • Do you have a washing machine?
    No, we don't. There is a self-laundry service 200m from our building where you can easily wash your clothes (they have vending machines with detergent and coin machine to exchange). It's called Vyper Tady, Vladislavova 8. Ask at the reception for directions.
  • I'm under 18 years old, can I stay?
    Yes, you can, but you need to have confirmation from your legal guardians (parent) that you can stay - with their signature, your names and the name of our accommodation and date of stay- provide this on arrival. In shared rooms people under 16 years old are not allowed. If you are younger than 16 y.o. you can stay only with an adult in a private room.
  • Do you offer breakfast?
    No, we don't offer breakfast. There is a restaurant on the ground floor (open daily 11:00-22:00) where you can have lunch/dinner (they don't have breakfast options).
  • Do you have elevator/lift in the building?
    No we don't. It's a historical building and there are only stairs to all floors (highest floor is 3rd floor).
  • Do I need ID to check-in?
    Yes, it's mandatory for each guest to have valid ID (EU ID) or passport. Driving license and others are not valid IDs and we can't accept them. Each guest needs to be able to present the valid documentation at check-in, if not, we don't allow them to check-in (without refund).
  • Do you take deposit?
    Yes, we require a key deposit of 10€ or 200 CZK per each key - in cash on arrival. This is a refundable deposit when the key is returned. If you lose the key or it's significantly damaged/something missing we will keep the deposit.
  • What is city fee/tax?
    The city fee for Prague 1 is 50 CZK per person per night. Each guest who is not a resident of Prague has to pay this fee. The fee is collected from guests upon arrival - in cash or by card. There are several exceptions when the fee is not collected: Person younger than 18 years old, blind person with ZTP/P document, 60+ days of stay. This is valid for foreigner as well as czech citizens without residency in Prague. The subject of the local stay fee (hereinafter referred to as the “fee”) is a paid stay lasting no more than 60 consecutive calendar days with an individual stay provider. The collection of the fee is regulated by Act No. 565/1990 Coll., on local fees, as amended, and by the generally binding Decree No. 18/2019 Coll. of the City of Prague, on the local stay fee, as amended. The administration of the fee is governed by Act No. 280/2009 Coll., Tax Code, as amended.
  • What time is check-in?
    Check-in time is from 15:00.
  • What time is check-out?
    Check-out is at 11:00.
  • Can I check-in earlier?
    No, the check-in is from 15:00. We will let you check-in earlier only if the room is ready, but we can't promise you that. Before check-in you can leave your luggage at the reception (open from 8:00), use our reception common room where is wifi, bathroom with shower, plugs and sitting area.
  • Can I check-out later?
    We are sorry, but we don't allow late check-outs. The check-out time is at 11:00. If you don't do check-out in time we will ask you to pay fine (10€ up to price for night).
  • Can I check-out earlier?
    Yes, it's not a problem. You can leave your keys in our designated key box. Please come to the reception the day before to pick up your deposit.
  • Can I check-in late?
    Yes, you can check-in after 20:00 when our reception is closed. Please let us know in advance that you will arrive later and we will share more details about where to pick up keys (usually at the bar on the ground floor, but the bar is not our reception so the bartender can't help you with other things - towels, hairdryers etc.). We also require everything to be paid before the bartender give you keys and to fill in registration form and pay a key deposit.
  • Do you provide bed sheets?
    Yes, your bed will be prepared for you with clean bed sheets (mattress, blanket and pillow covers).
  • Do you have curtains on beds?
    Yes, we have curtain for more privacy on each bottom/lower bed (this is only for bunkbeds). The upper beds don't have privacy curtains.
  • Can I have bottom/lower bed?
    When you make the reservation the bed is allocated automaticaly (we can't predict if you get a bottom or upper bed). If you message us your request to have bottom or upper bed we will try our best to accommodate your request (if we have availability).
  • Can I change my bed?
    We don't allow any changes without our approval. You can come to the reception and ask for a different bed, we will check if it's available and accordingly change it - give you new keys for different locker, check if the bed is prepared and clean etc. If you change your bed without our approval we keep the right to give you fine 20€.
  • Can I use my sleeping bag?
    Yes, you can. All beds are prepared with clean bed sheets but if you prefer to use your own sleeping bag we don't have any problems with that. The price per night is not changed.
  • I arrived and my bed is not clean or someone is there, what to do?
    We are a hostel and in dormitories things like this can happen even though we change the bedsheets and prepare beds for each arrival, some guests don't care and sit in the clean beds and use them. If this happens to you, please come to our reception as soon as possible and we will send there our cleaning team to prepare the bed.
  • Do you have lockers?
    Yes, each bed in the dormitory has one locker. It's for a key which we will provide, you don't need a padlock. The locker is for a small sized bag only.
  • Do you provide towels?
    You can borrow towels at the reception. We require a 5€ refundable deposit - you will get the deposit back when you return the towel at the reception. Towels are available only during opening hours of the reception (8-20:00).
  • Is the bathroom private?
    No, all bathrooms and kitchens are shared with other guests. Only one our studio apartment for 2 people with double bed has private bathroom and kitchen.
  • Do you have only female dormitories/rooms?
    No, we don't. All our dormitories and rooms are mixed gender, same as our facilities (bathrooms, toilets).
  • Do you have common room?
    In each apartment is access to a kitchen room where is sitting area. We also have common room at the reception where are cozy sofas, wifi, plugs, bathroom with shower and tables.
  • I don't feel good in the room, can I change it?
    If there are any problems in the room/apartment, please come to the reception and tell us about it. We will try to help you as best as we can to solve the issue. If we have availability we will offer you another room/bed/apartment (according to availability it might not be the same room type, the receptionist will inform you). But it's important for us to know the issue so that we can help other guests and us too.
  • Is my reservation confirmed?
    After you make a reservation you should receive a confirmation email. If not, please contact us directly. Reservations made through booking websites (Hostelworld, Booking, Expedia etc.) are confirmed by them automatically. If you make a reservations through our website and choose option pay now and don't finish the payment, your reservation will be cancelled. If you have troubles with payment and want to keep the reservation, contact us.
  • Can I pay on arrival for my reservation?
    We don't allow for guest to make a reservation without payment in advance. If you call us or email us to make a reservation, we will ask you to make an online payment to confirm the reservation or we won't accept it. If you are walk-ins and make reservation directly at the reception, you will pay there (cash/card).
  • Booking.com - I already paid city fee, why do you want another?
    On booking.com during the reservation process you can see the total price for the reservation (for accommodation + city fee). But when you pay for the reservation through booking.com, you pay only for the accommodation, not the city fee. It's because the city fee is paid separately on arrival (booking.com can't collect the city fee because of taxes and comission). Each booking.com reservation has to pay the fee directly at the reception on arrival.
  • Can you cancel my reservation?
    Cancellation of reservation depends on which type of rate&conditions you booked. If you booked our standard rate type, you can cancel the reservation up to 3 days before arrival for free, but after that (3 days and less) it's not possible for free anymore. If you booked our non-refudable rate type, your reservation can't be cancelled for free. The fee for late/non-refundable cancellation is 100% of the amount for the stay. It's the same for no-show.
  • I booked on your web, cancelled and didn't get refund, what to do?
    If you made a reservation through our own website and afterwards you cancelled the reservation during the free cancellation period (depend on the rate type and conditions you booked) and you didn't get a refund, please contact us. Unfortunately the refund is not automatically issued (our system don't know how to do that) and we have to do it manually. Sometimes we overlook a reservation that should be refunded. We are sorry for that. Please contact us and we will issue the refund immediately.
  • Can I make a long-term reservation?
    We are a short term accommodation and we accept only reservations under 28 days, everything longer you either have to make more reservations or contact us directly, but in general we do only short term. Any reservation longer than 10 days is subject to room change.
  • Do you exchange money?
    No, we don't. There is an official exchange in our street which offers good rates.
  • Something is not working/is broken, what should I do?
    If there is anything broken or is not working in the apartment/building, please come immediately to the reception and we will try our best to fix it as soon as possible. We have on site technician and cleaning team, so we can fix things.
  • Do you clean daily?
    Yes, we have a cleaning team in the hostel working daily from early morning. If you feel like something is not clean enough and needs more cleaning, please come to the reception and they will send the cleaning team. Also if there is no toilet paper or soap, tell us and we will fix it.
  • Do I need cash?
    Yes, we collet the key deposit 10€/200 CZK/10$ in cash only. City fee and other payments (activities...) can be paid by card.
  • Is there ATM?
    Yes, there is one in our building (Euro/CZK ATM). But there are more in the area (only CZK).

Jukebox, table-football and all kinds of drinks you like. A typical czech is Becherovka (it is not too tasty though :D). AAAAABSINTH is also famous, but be careful so you don't see the green fairy!

WALK THE CITY

It is easy to walk around the whole city and explore it on your own. Get lost in the small streets of the old city and find the hidden places which are not as touristy.

DON'T LIKE TO WALK?

Don't worry, there is a metro station and tram stop in front of our building, so it is really easy to get around the whole city without destroying your shoes.
